4vco - new style newsletter
From this issue onwards, the focus of the 4vco newsletter will be firmly upon key news items and events relating to the private equity software and service industry. These sections have always been popular with our readership and we are fully committed to maintaining and expanding this service during 2010.
This approach is designed to complement our new website which is planned for launch in Q1 2010. The new site will also feature an expanding list of updated vendor profiles.
4vco - new business in 2009
Despite the prevailing market conditions at the start of 2009, 4vco is set to achieve another year of excellent results, having signed 13 new clients and worked on 25 new assignments so far this year.
4vco - Tony Piper - 6th year as EVCA presenter
Tony Piper, 4vco's Director, completes his 12th appearance over 6 years as guest presenter on the EVCA Institute Finance & Administration Course. His next presentation on 'Selection and Implementation of Fund Administration Software' is in Munich on the final day of the course (24-27th November 2009).
Investran - Award and User Group news

3i InfoTech Framework - Framework 2009 announced
3i InfoTech Framework has announced the release of Framework 2009. New functionality includes:
"Administration and accounting of complex investment structures (Special Purpose Vehicles) supported with straight-through processing and visual representation in Microsoft Visio format.
General ledger reporting capabilities extended to support alternate chart of accounts including multiple GAAPs and IFRS reporting.
Continual focus on improving the user experience with global search capabilities and enhanced use of drag and drop functionality and hyperlinks."

AnalytX - new hires, user group and product news

"AnalytX announces successful user group meetings in California with over 40 venture capital clients attending sessions in Palo Alto.
Seven new hires join the AnalytX team, including two developers, two report writers, two implementation associates and one new marketing associate.
IOCapture releases as a version 1.0. Objective Assets 4.0 (PEO), which includes a radically enhanced graphical user interface (GUI), begins alpha testing in November and is slated for an end of year release. IO Capture bridges the gap for providing real time information on private investments directly from the investment companies, and brings immediacy and timeliness to the monitoring and management of prospective and active alternative investments."

IPEV - Valuation Guidelines - September 2009 edition
The International Private Equity and Venture Capital Valuation Guidelines were developed by the Association Française des Investisseurs en Capital (AFIC), the British Venture Capital Association (BVCA) and the European Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (EVCA) and were launched in March 2005 to reflect the need for greater comparability across the industry and for consistency with IFRS and US GAAP accounting principles. The new guidelines are based on the overall principle of 'fair value' in order to be consistent with IFRS and US GAAP.
