Assignment: LP management information and reporting service

rpmi Case Study

rpmi (Railpen Investments) is a longstanding and major investor in private equity and infrastructure funds, with commitments to over 100 funds.  rpmi engaged 4vco with a brief to design and deliver an outsourced management information service to support full analysis of its PE portfolio.  The engagement included integration with (and reconciliation to) its existing cash management and accounting functions.

4vco completed a number of staged assignments including:

  • Requirements analysis for PE performance measurement and associated reporting to investment committee and trustee board
  • Identification of options for the delivery of such a solution via a third party
  • Agreement of selection criteria and design/management of the vendor selection process
  • Vendor negotiation, service design and related SLA
  • Full preparation and migration of extensive historic data, including electronic filing of supporting documentation
  • User testing and issue resolution
  • User training and hand over of operational responsibilities
  • Post implementation support for first quarter

“4vco’s in depth knowledge and practical experience were essential to the success of the project.  We were led through a structured process in a controlled manner which allowed us to identify issues early and to manage expectations internally, from start to finish. The 4vco consultants were very approachable and easy to work with.  I would have no hesitation in recommending 4vco to my peer group”.
