4vco Private Equity Software Showcase - London
On 18-19th September 4vco hosted a showcase of five of the major PE software vendors. The event was
attended by nearly 50 delegates from 30 private equity houses based in the UK and Europe. Attendees
had the opportunity to view the different software, discuss related topics with vendors and
network with each other.

Client Update
4vco has started 10 new assignments in the first half of 2007, including GPs, administrators and a pension fund,
in locations including the UK, Luxembourg and Scandinavia.

2006 has been another year of strong growth for 4vco as its client base has almost doubled with the take-on of
15 new consulting assignments.

4vco has started assignments with ten new clients since the beginning of the year, including PE firms from Norway, Denmark and Egypt.
4vco PE Systems Networking Day
16 clients from across Europe joined the 4vco team for a day's sailing off the UK's south coast on two 45-foot yachts.
Since the start of 2006 4vco has added five new clients, and in the last month the Walkthrough Service has
been delivered to three clients across Europe.

Newsletter subscriber base passes 2,000
The subscriber base for the newsletter has now passed the 2,000 mark covering 57 countries.
The 4vco website also now averages more than 100 visitors a day.

November 2005
Two Clients Sign with 4vco
4vco resources have begun work with two major private equity houses, both with an established European presence. We join the first as it concludes its selection process and we will manage a multi-site, multi-function rollout of its chosen software package. The other assignment involves a review of the client's existing Fund of Funds operations with a view to identifying tactical improvements and a blueprint for the future, complete with an integrated system solution. More details to follow as available.
User Group Service launched
4vco launches the new User Group Service. We have been piloting this with Accounting Frameworks clients for six months and are currently in discussions with a number of other software vendors with a view to expanding the service. If you use a recognised software package and are interested in this independent service then we would like to hear from you.

Systems Healthcheck service launched
Following successful piloting at three clients, 4vco has formally launched its Systems Healthcheck service.
This service is aimed at clients that have implemented their PE package solutions and introduces some minimum steps that clients can take to help ensure continued benefits from their investment.

Two Clients Sign with 4vco
4vco has recently signed up two new clients, bringing our client count to ten for consultancy services.

4vco Retained by London PE Advisor
Having recently piloted the new
Walkthrough product with a London-based client, 4vco are pleased to have been retained to assist with the subsequent selection and implementation process. We hope to report further details in the near future.

New 'Walkthrough' Service Launched
4vco also launches a new service, "Walkthrough - An Introduction to PE Technology". This gives clients a broad view of the current PE software marketplace. It draws upon 4vco's own experiences in the field plus the feedback of 45 fund managers captured during the 2004 Technology Survey.

New client in London
4vco has begun work with a new private equity client in London.
Technology Survey report distributed
The 4vco Technology Survey report was sent out to participants on 3rd December. The initial feedback from clients has been very positive.
We will report more on this in next month's newsletter.
4vco website revamp
Work is currently underway to improve the style and layout of the current website. The new site should be on-line during January 2005.
November 2004
New offices
In mid-November, 4vco moved into new offices in central London. We are just a short walk from London Bridge mainline and underground stations. Our new base will enable us to provide an even more effective service to our London clients and to those further afield.
New engagement
4vco has recently completed a short exercise for a local PE firm that was recruiting a PE system manager. We were able to provide input to the job profile and to assist with the final interview process.
Front Office Focus Group
At another client, we have had great success in establishing a 'Front Office Focus Group' to secure commitment and input from the investment executives during roll-out of their new system. More on this topic coming soon.

We are very pleased to have been chosen to assist with a software selection by a new client in France.
New engagement
An existing client, for whom we managed a software implementation, has retained our services to assist with the replacement of its general ledger.

Website and newsletter - first anniversary
September marks the completion of a full year of providing our unique and free information service via the 4vco website and our newsletter. The level of interest in the website has dramatically increased during the last 9 months. The number of visits to the website has reached 1500 per month and time spent browsing site content has more than trebled to 50 hours per month.
In response to the surge in interest, the website is currently undergoing a makeover and we hope to launch the new style and layout soon. This should make it easier to locate and access the considerable amount of information that we have added in the past year.

Talks with US to expand survey
4vco are looking to expand the footprint of our technology survey to encompass the US marketplace.
Discussions are underway and we will report on these as they progress.
4vco recruiting to meet business growth
As business expands, 4vco will be looking to recruit additional resources over the next few months.
Job profiles will be published shortly and will include vacancies for permanent and contract staff.
First anniversary approaches
Next month marks the first anniversary of our website and newsletters and it will have been an incredible 12 months for our team.
Interest in our services has shown strong growth throughout the year and we will report on some key statistics to show this next month.
The website is currently undergoing a makeover and we hope to launch the new style and layout soon. This should make it easier to locate and access the considerable amount of information that we have added in the past year.

Our own consultants have begun work with 2 new clients in the past month and, with another due this month and a healthy pipeline, we are poised for a busy second half of the year. We hope to bring you more news as the projects progress.

4vco attended the PEI COO/CFO Forum in London on 23rd and 24th June. Tony Piper of 4vco was a panellist for Workshop D - Developing a complete technology solution for a PE firm.

We have put some considerable effort into the 4vco business model over the last 15 months. Developing the website, newsletter and supporting infrastructure has kept us very busy and we are now seeing that it was all worthwhile thanks to the amazing response from our readers.
We are now registering over 1000 visits per month and the number is growing fast.
